The
Science of Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the science of the continuous interaction of two of nature’s
most powerful forces, wind and water.
Wind and Water are known to shift the landscape of planet Earth. When
water evaporates, it goes through a chemical process that generates
and releases energy. This energy is commonly referred to as Qi.
Then, the wind comes and mobilizes the Qi. The flowing
Qi creates positive (growing) energy (ShengQi +).
Once it does not flow, it becomes stagnant and produces negative (killing)
energy (ShaQi -). On the
other hand, if the Qi moves too fast, it becomes highly
dynamic and creates an unstable environment. That’s why the practice
of Feng Shui stresses on Yin Yang - the balancing of the forces.
The practice of Feng Shui is about identifying how the flow of positive
and negative energy at your surrounding environment affecting your
well-being. When a negative energy (ShaQi) is found, it needs to be
neutralized with a Feng Shui cure to minimize or eliminate its negative
effect. When a positive energy (ShengQi) is identified, you will want
to tap into the energy field and let the energy enhance your business
and personal well-being. Based on the laws of Feng Shui nature, the
application of Feng Shui to your house and office can ensure you live
and work harmoniously with the surrounding environment.
The Feng Shui Experiment
Is Feng Shui a superstitious belief or is it a real science? Find
the answer to your question with an experiment. Fill up a sink with
water. Pull the plug and observe in what direction (either clockwise
or counterclockwise) the water flows down the sink. Do this experiment
for 10 times and you will find a pattern, a preferred direction (either
clockwise or counterclockwise), of how the energy surrounding your
house affecting the flow of water in your house. This is a form of
energy manifesting through a third part medium. A human does not have
a dedicated organ to detect the subtle magnetic energy but it does
exist and it is all around us. It is important to understand that
Feng Shui is not a superstition and it is not magic. Instead,
Feng Shui is the science of how the flow of Qi affects
human beings.
